Recently, my husband and I sold our home in Davie- Forest Ridge Subdivision. We literally could not have done this without the help of Patti Reid. She is an outstanding Realtor. Let me tell you the story.
In 1994, we moved to Florida from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Being a large family of six, we decided to build the 5/3 Cottonwood model in Forest Ridge.
Over the years, each of our teenagers grew up and moved out of the nest. When the last child started college, we knew it was time to start looking for our retirement home. My husband and I were planning to sell our home "by owner" sometime in December or January just before the completion of our new home.
I decided to send e-mails to several Realtors that I knew. I wanted them to know that we were selling our home. And furthermore; if they would bring me a buyer, I would give them acommission. But, I didn't know the current market value in our area.
From Patti's numerous postcards and flyers that she would send to our home; in my opinion, she was the top Realtor in Forest Ridge. Therefore, I also sent to her a copy of the e-mail. Within a hour or so, she called to set up an appointment. Oh! by the way, I still have not heard from the other Realtors.
